<p>Department: Recorder's Office</p> <p>Salary: $18.26 - $31.56 Hourly</p> <p>Closing Date: May 27, 2026</p> <p>Davis County Recorders Office is looking to hire a Recorder Technician I. This position performs routine and entry-level clerical duties and support tasks in the County Recorder's Office.</p> <p>In addition to competitive pay and our upbeat culture, we offer the following benefits day one:</p> <ul> <li>Affordable Medical, dental, and vision coverage DAY ONE! </li><li>13 vacation days and 12 paid sick leave days </li><li>3 paid personal preference days and 12 paid holidays </li><li>4 weeks of paid parental leave after 6 months </li><li>Full pension retirement </li><li>Annual performance increases up to 2.5% </li><li>401k match of </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Level I</p> <ul> <li>High school graduation plus two years of full time clerical experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. </li><li>Preference for experience in real property title insurance or land records/maps. </li></ul> <p>Level II</p> <ul> <li>Two years of full time relevant experience as a Recorder Technician in the Davis County Recorder's Office. </li><li>Must possess a Cadastral Mapper Certification from the Utah Association of County Recorders. </li></ul> <p>Day to Day Duties</p> <ul> <li>Inspects all documents presented for recordation to ensure legibility, proper signatures, legal descriptions, acknowledgements, and county locations are correct and comply with statutory requirements for recordation. </li><li>Ensures all documents are signed and notarized. Processes documents by entering into the computer the proper information. </li><li>Works closely with other staff to ensure correct and complete processing and recording of property information. </li><li>Assigns and collects proper recording fees in accordance with requirements set by the Utah state legislature. </li><li>Verifies checks for title company payment. Accepts fees for payments; issues receipts, notices, and certificates and keeps simple records of transactions; makes simple mathematical computations. </li><li>Assists the general public in researching records. </li><li>Makes copies of legal documents and plat maps for the general public, realtors, appraisers, surveyors, title companies, from hard copies, electronic means and microfiche.
