<p>Job Goal:</p> <p>The Somerville Summer Music Camp provides a week of music programming during the summer for string, woodwind and brass players in the Somerville Public Schools.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree preferred</p> <p>Evidence of five years of successful teaching/summer camp experience</p> <p>Demonstrated experience as an administrator or supervisor</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise music camp staff and all instructional activities </li><li>Supervise the maintenance of attendance of students </li><li>Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline as necessary </li><li>Supervise the daily lunch and snack count and maintain supplies and equipment as well as proper distribution. </li><li>Monitor safety and all procedures as they pertain to the complete supervision of all campers and staff </li><li>Supervise office procedures, opening-and closing-day procedures for staff and campers. </li><li>Assess all summer camp activities and provide recommendations for the improvement of future summer programs </li><li>Must be available for Orientation/Professional Development: TBD </li></ul> <p>Terms of Employment:</p> <ul> <li>Seasonal/Yearly Employment </li><li>Out of Regular school and/or work hours </li><li>Student Program runs July 20, 2026 - July 31, 2026 </li><li>Hours: 8:30 - 12:30 </li><li>Location: Somerville High School </li><li>Stipend: $3,000 </li><li>Mandatory Orientation and Professional Development Days: TBD </li></ul> <p>Position Reports to: Director of Summer Programming & Supervisor of K-12 Music</p> <p>The Somerville Public School does not discriminate in its programs, facilities or employment of educational opportunities on the basis of race, color, age, religion, disability, pregnancy, home status, marital/civil union status, sex/gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, citizenship status, place of birth, national origin, ancestry, cultural identity, genetics or military status, and does not tolerate any form of retaliation, or bias-based intimidation, threat or harassment that demeans individuals' group or interferes with their ability to learn or work.</p>
