Learn how you can start or jumpstart your career with us.</p> <p>We are hiring an Occupational Health Nurse to join our Newark Delaware Team.</p> <p>Under the general direction of the Regional Occupational Medicine Leader and within the general framework of the Occupational Medicine Operating Discipline and Clinical Guidelines, provide clinical care services, case management, health assessment program management and services, and general preventive health services for Qnity employees and specified contractor employees.</p> <p>Your Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Clinical experience with health & medical care services may include assessing, examination, and treatment. Follow standings orders and perform clinic labs testing as appropriate. </li></ul> <p>With appropriate training and certification performs routine surveillance screening/tests:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Substance Abuse Testing</p> </li><li> <p>Spirometry</p> </li><li> <p>Audiogram</p> </li><li> <p>Vision screening</p> </li><li> <p>Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens</p> </li><li> <p>Performs EKGs (as applicable)</p> </li><li> <p>Provide medical treatment as directed by a provider for work-related injury and illness in a caring, efficient, and professional manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide occupational and non-occupational case management, including prolonged or complex illnesses/injuries or disability.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain medical records in accordance with established guidelines and utilize the preferred electronic medical record system.</p> </li><li> <p>Work in collaboration with supervising provider and perform tasks as designated.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide after-hours clinical support and call coverage. This may require the availability to return to site for emergencies and site needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide preventative health, wellness, and Employee Assistance Program guidance and support.</p> </li><li> <p>Administer substance abuse testing and have knowledge of DOT requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with employees, line management, EHS, Human Resources and health care providers on health and fitness-for-duty issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with identifying, evaluating, and implementing accommodations and return to work options for workers with restricted duty.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate activities with Occupational Medicine, EHS, and Human Resources.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain current knowledge of local hazards, toxicity of materials and relevant emergency medical care.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate and respond to site emergencies with the site's Emergency Response Team.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide after-hours clinical support and call coverage. This may require the availability to return to site for emergencies and site needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Contribute to the design of controls for injury prevention and health surveillance related to actual and potential hazards in the work environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate patients, review clinical records, and determine if appropriate treatment was provided.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with external providers for case management and other corporate business representatives for program needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend and participate in corporate teams and committees as designated.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the Corporate Function with project work and presentations.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide preventative health, wellness, and Employee Assistance Program guidance and support.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Licenses & Certifications Required: Active State Nursing License & BLS.</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of Occupational Health and Emergency Response.</p> </li><li> <p>Highly effective communication and people skills</p> </li><li> <p>Problem solving and decision-making skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with electronic medical records systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA, as well as State and Federal requirements that apply to Occupational Health Clinics.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Certifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Urine Drug Screen Collection</p> </li><li> <p>Breath Alcohol Testing</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist</p> </li><li> <p>NIOSH Certified to Perform Spirometry</p> </li></ul> <p>Join our Talent Community to stay connected with us!</p> <p>Qnity is an equal opportunity employer.
