<p>Records Specialist 1</p> <p>Location: 315 Court Street, Clearwater, FL 33756</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm</p> <p>The Clerk of the Circuit Court is looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven, high-performer to join our team.</p> <p>This is specialized clerical work that requires the scanning/imaging of legal documents, general clerical work, data entry, processing, research, and filing of various documents. An employee in this class reviews and processes a wide variety of legal documents in accordance with Florida Statutes and other pertinent legal authorities.</p> <p>What Would You Do?</p> <ul> <li>Scanning, ensuring the quality of images and verification. </li><li>Processing new filings, redactions, and email requests. </li><li>Opening, reviewing, and distributing mail. </li><li>Processing statement of claims and copy requests. </li><li>Preparing and mailing form correspondence. </li><li>Performing daily phone bank duty. </li><li>Boxing, labeling, and shipping imaged batches of pleadings to Records Management for storage. </li><li>Assisting with evidence. </li><li>Performs related work as assigned or required. </li><li>Assignment to work a variety of work schedules, including compulsory work periods in special emergency and/or disaster situations. </li></ul> <p>What Do You Need To Have?</p> <ul> <li>1-year experience in clerical work, which may include 1-year customer service experience; or </li><li>An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. </li></ul> <p>Highly Desirable</p> <ul> <li>Excellent customer service skills. </li><li>Basic knowledge of the Florida Statutes, Rules of Court, and regulations pertinent to the area of assignment. </li><li>Ability to follow instructions in accordance with laws, regulations, and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of legal terminology, grammar, spelling, and math. </li><li>Knowledge of recordkeeping practices and procedures. </li><li>Knowledge of automated office equipment, practices, and procedures. </li><li>Skilled in the operation of automated office equipment. </li><li>Skilled in the application of quality customer service. </li><li>Ability to follow instructions in accordance with laws, regulations, and procedures. </li><li>Ability to provide information correctly and concisely, both orally and in writing. </li><li>Ability to type with reasonable speed and accuracy. </li></ul> <p>Our benefits rank among the top in the area!</p> <ul> <li>Looking for a strong retirement?
