<p>Position Summary</p> <p>As a License/Permit Program Associate - Senior, you will be responsible for the following duties:</p> <ul> <li>Facilitating Title 18 and Title 19 certification and state licensure of nursing homes and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Wisconsin. </li><li>Receiving and reviewing applications for issuing state licensure and recommending federal certification action to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. </li><li>Coordinating with potential health care providers to complete applications for changes in ownership and reviewing materials to ensure eligibility. </li><li>Processing waiver/variance requests, licensure changes, and management changes in nursing homes and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. </li></ul> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting pay is $24.12 per hour.</p> <p>Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is in pay schedule and range 02/12.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.</p> <p>For positions that allow remote working flexibility, working outside of Wisconsin or in bordering cities will not be allowed except in extremely limited circumstances due to the need to report to an office location in Wisconsin on short notice.</p> <p>Employees must have access to both a private workspace and secure high-speed internet for remote work option. Mileage reimbursement to the employee's headquarter location is not provided. Remote work flexibility will be discussed in more detail during the interview process.</p> <p>DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.</p> <p>All appointees will be subject to DHS' flu-shot policy.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience providing administrative support in an office environment (e.g., scheduling meetings, updating procedures, maintaining files, tracking payments and fees, etc.). </li><li>Experience reviewing documents and materials for accuracy and completeness and following up with relevant parties when necessary. </li><li>Experience providing customer service to internal and external partners (e.g., responding to inquiries, explaining policies and procedures, resolving issues, etc.). </li></ul> <p>Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience entering data into computer programs or data systems (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access, etc.). </li><li>Experience interpreting and applying rules and regulations related to nursing homes. </li><li>Experience reviewing application materials for licensures and certifications to ensure accuracy and completeness. </li></ul> <p>Your letter of qualifications is limited to 1 page.
