<p>Piping Engineer (100% Remote - Nuclear Projects)</p> <p>Fully Remote | Work on Major Nuclear Power Projects Nationwide</p> <p>We're seeking an experienced Piping Engineer to join one of the top nuclear engineering firms in the U.S. This is a fully remote opportunity supporting critical nuclear power plant upgrades, modifications, and facility improvements.</p> <p>In this role, you'll work on high-visibility, technically challenging projects for large utility clients-contributing to long-term, meaningful advancements in the energy and utility industry, all while working remotely.</p> <p>If you have strong nuclear or power piping experience and want to work on impactful projects without being tied to a site or office, this is a great opportunity.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prepare and review engineering calculations and designs for nuclear piping systems</p> </li><li> <p>Perform code qualification and stress analysis per ASME B31.1 and ASME Section III</p> </li><li> <p>Emphasis on Class 1 and Class 2/3 piping</p> </li><li> <p>Execute piping analysis for:</p> </li><li> <p>Thermal expansion</p> </li><li> <p>Dynamic and vibration loads</p> </li><li> <p>Seismic response spectrum and Time History analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize industry-leading tools such as AutoPIPE, ME-101, and other piping analysis software</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with ANSYS (FEA) is a strong plus</p> </li><li> <p>Design and analyze:</p> </li><li> <p>Pipe hangers and supports</p> </li><li> <p>Snubbers, spring cans, and linear supports</p> </li><li> <p>Perform nozzle stress evaluations and support component or vessel design</p> </li><li> <p>Develop technical specifications for piping, valves, and associated components</p> </li><li> <p>Produce high-quality documentation with clear, professional written communication</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in the nuclear design change / standard design process</p> </li><li> <p>Support field engineering efforts as needed (site walkdowns are limited and project-dependent)</p> </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience in nuclear and/or power/utility engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Strong working knowledge of:</p> </li><li> <p>ASME Section III B&PV Code</p> </li><li> <p>ASME B31 piping codes (B31.1 preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience with piping stress analysis and qualification</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with:</p> </li><li> <p>AutoPIPE</p> </li><li> <p>ME-101</p> </li><li> <p>ANSYS, STRUDL, or similar stress/FEA tools</p> </li><li> <p>Strong verbal and written communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable working independently in a fully remote engineering environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Why This Role Stands Out</p> <ul> <li>100% remote - no relocation required </li><li>Work with a top-tier nuclear engineering firm </li><li>Long-term, stable projects in the nuclear energy sector </li><li>Exposure to complex, high-impact nuclear design work </li><li>Collaborative engineering culture with strong technical support </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
