<p>SUMMARY: The Plasma Technician I supports the thermal spray (plasma, wire arc, HVOF, etc.) coating process by preparing parts, operating plasma equipment, and performing basic inspections.</p> <p>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with setting up and operating plasma spray equipment to apply coatings on aerospace parts. </li><li>Prepare parts for coating, including cleaning and masking as necessary. </li><li>Perform basic plasma coating processes under the guidance of more experienced technicians. </li><li>Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of coated parts to ensure adherence to quality standards. </li><li>Maintain and clean plasma spray equipment, following safety protocols. </li><li>Document process data and inspection results as required. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>2 years of experience in thermal/plasma spraying or a related field. </li><li>Basic understanding of plasma spray operations and safety procedures. </li><li>Ability to follow detailed work instructions and specifications. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. </li><li>Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of coating application techniques. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience in a related OEM or MRO Manufacturing/Process Engineering discipline. </li><li>3+ years of hands-on experience in plasma spraying or thermal spray processes. </li><li>Familiarity with plasma coating programs and automated coating equipment. </li><li>Previous experience with masking techniques. </li></ul> <p>OTHER:</p> <ul> <li>The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing. </li></ul>
