<p>As a Patient Care Assistant (Nursing Assistant), you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient's charts and other necessities.</p> <p>Work Schedule: 0.75 FTE. Days 12- hour shifts . Includes every third weekend rotation.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must have one of the following:</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent</p> </li><li> <p>HS Diploma in progress and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry</p> </li><li> <p>Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered</p> </li><li> <p>Current BLS - American Hart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)</p> </li><li> <p>Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills with a customer-service orientation.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong written and verbal communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates basic computers skills or the ability to achieve proficiency within 3 months.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with patients, visitors, and co-workers.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to independently initiate appropriate tasks within the scope of practice of the position.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to provide individualized care and respond to a variety of patient/family preferences.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to provide an exceptional patient experience utilizing strong customer service skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>CNA experience</p> </li><li> <p>HUC or unit clerk experience</p> </li><li> <p>Microsoft office experience</p> </li><li> <p>Prior experience in acute care or hospital setting</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of pre and post-op surgical/orthopedic and general medical patients</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge and care in the use of all specialized orthopedic equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of routine order sets in Epic</p> </li></ul> <p>At HealthPartners we believe in the power of good - good deeds and good people working together.
