The Sr Consultant is accountable for developing and implementing operational and training strategies, policies, and procedures and coordinating activities between shifts and campuses. Work with the Director to develop a team approach to problem solving, accountabilities and staff development. Responsibilities include: overseeing all training programs and initiatives, creation and implementation of protective services policies and procedures, and providing liaison with outside law enforcement, compliance, and public agencies.</p> <p>Responsibilities And Duties:</p> <p>50% Under the direction of the Director, makes decisions and provides direction to Protective Services associates; provides effective training strategy for department; training program scheduling, responsible for the development and implementation of Protective Services policies and procedures. Develops training and policy and procedure processes. Oversees the production of training documentation and records to ensure quality. Meets with care site leaders and attends staff/department meetings to help coordinate care site department specific plans.</p> <p>15% Identifies learning plans and assists Director of Training with establishing security programs, policies, procedures and systems to cost-effectively protect the employees, contractors, patients, visitors, assets and confidential information of the company.</p> <p>15% Provides effective communication of requirements, security programs and initiatives, and develops cooperative relationships with companywide stakeholders and security force suppliers to reinforce security policies and best practices. Acts as advocate for security and safety programs through interpersonal contacts, presentations, written communications, new associate orientation and other activities designed to involve and invest as many people as possible. Maintains high level of visibility and accessibility at all times to deal with both crisis and routine matters. Stays current on contemporary security and safety issues and technologies by reviewing material, networking and education. Completes annual evaluations, as well as corrective action reports as required</p> <p>10% Responsible for preparation of monthly and annual reports pertaining to training and policy related issues, gathers information for these reports from interior and exterior sources in order to track trends and evaluate any training gaps.</p> <p>10% Manages compliance of corporate security requirements for security education/training. Assesses operational efficiency in areas of responsibility and implements strategies to enhance performance and productivity. Provides expertise and input into educational strategies used in program development and educator development. Develops and implements strategic planning, service strategies and quality improvement programs. Develops policy and procedures for department operations. Leads and participates on committees and work groups to help define and prioritize learning activities and initiatives within OhioHealth</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Associate's DegreeOPOTA - Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy - Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy</p> <p>Additional Job Description:</p> <p>Degree or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of Law Enforcement/Security experience in a healthcare setting. Leadership and program management experience. OPOTA Police Commission (Active). OPOTA Certified Instructor Specialized Knowledge: . Knowledge of computers and computer systems required including all Microsoft Office projects. Proficient in preparing and presenting high quality, executive level reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
