<p>School Nurse - Summer Position</p> <p>K-8 Extended School Year (ESY)</p> <p>Beebe School</p> <p>(1 Position)</p> <p>General Description:</p> <p>The summer school nurse oversees the health and wellness of students and staff members enrolled in Beebe's Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Program.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide routine daily care and administration of OTC and prescribed medications </li><li>Provide emergency care to students and staff when needed </li><li>Maintain daily medical log records and report any student incidents to the program coordinators </li><li>Perform other job-related duties </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts </li><li>Familiar with life threatening allergy protocols </li><li>Committed to working in and fostering an inclusive community </li><li>Respond calmly and efficiently to emergencies </li><li>Work collaboratively and independently </li><li>Maintain an enthusiastic and positive presence with all students, staff and families </li><li>Excellent organizational, problem solving and risk management skills </li></ul> <p>Dates: July 6 - August 6 (Monday - Thursday)</p> <p>Hours: 8:00am - 12:00pm</p> <p>Salary: $40 per hour</p> <p>Please note: All positions are contingent upon student enrollment for summer programming.</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>The Malden Public Schools is committed to cultivating an ethnically, racially, and linguistically diverse and inclusive environment where different backgrounds and perspectives are celebrated.
