As a laboratory school, we develop and disseminate innovative educational approaches that will positively impact children in other schools and programs.</p> <p>Conservatory Lab Charter School seeks an IEP Facilitator who is passionate about collaborating with staff, students, and families to create a strong school and community culture rooted in the 5 school values of Cooperation, Empathy, Perseverance, Reflection, and Responsibility.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Organizes and manages the IEP process and documentation in assigned schools.</p> </li><li> <p>Chairs IEP Committee meetings in assigned schools.</p> </li><li> <p>Accepts referrals at the school level. Assists in gathering and organizing pertinent information as appropriate for each phase of the IEP process.</p> </li><li> <p>Invites appropriate participants to attend meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and distributes agendas to appropriate personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors and updates referrals, assessments and other individual Special Education records.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to interpret individual assessments.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains compliance with State Performance Plan Indicators.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as a liaison for all special education discipline related problems when appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in identifying the special needs of students.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists regular education teachers in the referral process for special education.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors adherence to special education timelines by special education teachers and related service providers.</p> </li><li> <p>Helps interpret special education policy to the staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Encourages a healthy school atmosphere through the effective use of human relation skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Works closely with the special education administrative assistant to ensure all timelines and deadlines are met</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties assigned by the Director of Student Services</p> </li><li></li></ul> <p>ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential Functions.</p> <p>EDUCATION, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>11 month position-includes traditional vacations and days off throughout the year.</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Special Education.</p> </li><li> <p>5 years special education classroom teaching experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge and experience with IEP procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge and experience in administering and interpreting educational assessments.</p> </li><li> <p>Evidence of exemplary human relations skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Evidence of leadership skills</p> </li><li></li></ul> <p>Required Documentation Uploads:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Resume: Please submit an updated copy of your resume, highlighting your relevant experience, skills, and achievements.</p> </li><li> <p>Licensure: If applicable to the position, we require a copy of your current professional licensure.
