This position will support the engineering team with work procurement activities, mechanical design and engineering, internal staff support, and customer-facing activities. Required daily interaction and support for the Murphy Operations team, owner / end user, and third-party consultants. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and leadership skills, with autonomy to develop tailored solutions to meet our customers' needs.</p> <p>Duties/Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Reports to the Engineering Manager </li><li>Reduce company risk for Design Build projects by providing subject matter expertise </li><li>Support internal drawing production and quality improvement activities to allow the Engineering Manager to focus on team management and business development </li><li>Meet with End Users, Owners, GC's, and various Trade Partners to procure and develop target Murphy projects </li><li>Produce Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documents and Technical Specifications focused on mechanical, plumbing, and process applications </li><li>Assist the internal Murphy engineering staff with design, code compliance, and quality control reviews </li><li>Provide design manager duties during early project development for both "In House" and "Out of House" DB opportunities </li><li>Work with the Murphy Operations staff during the project construction phase to provide engineering and contract administration support </li><li>Work with Murphy Pre Construction Managers and Estimators to develop projects with mechanical cost estimate support. </li><li>Attend project meetings (virtual and in person) to support the CO DB work program </li><li>Technical Proposals and facility evaluation reports </li><li>Attend site surveys and job walks </li><li>Assist with workforce development with training for interns and entry level engineers </li><li>Ability to work independently while developing project designs through the construction phase </li></ul> <p>Industries Served</p> <p>Bio-Pharmaceutical</p> <p>Laboratory & Clean Spaces</p> <p>Food and Beverage</p> <p>Mission Critical</p> <p>Light Industrial</p> <p>Manufacturing</p> <p>Higher Education</p> <p>Heavy Mechanical Retrofit</p> <p>Commercial</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>10+ years in Mechanical / Plumbing Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in the Design Build method of project delivery</p> </li><li> <p>Desire and interest to work on Advanced Facility mechanical projects (Pharma, Food Manufacturing, Healthcare, Data Centers, Clean Rooms, Industrial, process piping, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>BS in Mechanical Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>P.E. licensure required</p> </li><li> <p>Preconstruction and budget estimating experience a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Construction experience a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Strong hydronic, sheetmetal, and plumbing experience</p> </li><li> <p>Energy Modelling experience a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of current building codes, industry standards, and various compliance regulations that pertain to the building industry and mechanical design</p> </li><li> <p>Competence in various industry calculation and simulation programs</p> </li><li> <p>Trane Trace 700/3D</p> </li><li> <p>Detailed load calculations and system sizing</p> </li><li> <p>Energy Modelling</p> </li><li> <p>REVIT, AutoCad, Bluebeam</p> </li><li> <p>Manufacturer Equipment Selection software, Murphy Employee platforms, CRM, and other company provided software systems</p> </li><li> <p>Controls interaction and experience in developing sequence of operations</p> </li><li> <p>Commissioning Assistance</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with Murphy Engineering Training programs including workforce development of entry level engineers and Interns.</p> </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $125,000 - $150,000 per year</p>
