<p>Position: School Age Childcare Site Coordinator</p> <p>Location: Westlake Elementary School</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>220 days per year - 7 hours per day</p> <p>School Year Hours (Instructional Days): 6:30 A.M. - 9:00 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.</p> <p>Summer and Non-Instructional Day Hours: 7 hours per day between 7:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.</p> <p>Starting Salary: $30,800.00 per year</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise the facilitation of the school age program based on philosophy and mission - including day-to-dayoperations and special events. </li><li>Supervise students, group, and all activities as assigned while exhibiting safe, healthy, developmentally appropriate practices. </li><li>Encourage, engage and support students in all activities including supporting social/emotional needs. </li><li>Model, implement and maintain positive behavior management techniques in accordance with district philosophy and mission. </li><li>Supervise staff during program hours. </li><li>Continue professional growth; attend all staff meetings and in-services. </li><li>Adhere to Westlake Board of Education policies and procedures. </li><li>Work cooperatively in a team environment with peer Site Coordinators in sharing responsibilities. </li><li>Create a professional, harmonious and efficient work environment. </li><li>Maintain program supplies and services. </li><li>Maintain accurate attendance records. </li><li>Provide accurate and timely information to supervisors. </li><li>Share relevant resources and materials with supervisors, staff and parents. </li><li>Maintain on-going communication with supervisors and staff. </li><li>Establish and maintain regular and open communication with parents regarding children';s progress and behavior, as well as program updates. </li><li>Establish and maintain on-going timely communication with building personnel. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Degree in education, recreation, human services, or related field. (Non-related degrees or commensurate professional experience accepted - with one year of full-time work experience with school age children in a group setting.) </li><li>Demonstrated successful experience in program design and implementation. </li><li>Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with a professional attitude. </li><li>Experience in staff supervision. </li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Experience working with children with special needs. </li></ul>
