<p>Join Our Team</p> <p>We are seeking a Payroll Specialist III to manage the day-to-day operations of payroll processing for all Deaconess employees. This position is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of bi-weekly payrolls and will serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries. You'll play a key role in handling payroll for multiple employee types, performing audits, and resolving issues, all while supporting the financial needs of various hospital departments as assigned.</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>As a Payroll Specialist III, you'll process weekly and biweekly payrolls for hourly, salaried, and non-exempt employees. You'll be responsible for reviewing, preparing, and verifying pay data, processing payroll calculations, and resolving any payroll-related issues or discrepancies. Additionally, you'll collaborate on process improvement initiatives and assist with the transition to automated payroll systems.</p> <p>What You Will Do</p> <ul> <li>Process weekly and biweekly payrolls for hourly, salaried, and non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. </li><li>Review and audit payroll data, resolve errors or discrepancies, and ensure compliance with payroll policies. </li><li>Generate required payroll reports for processing and auditing purposes. </li><li>Investigate and resolve payroll issues related to payments, wages, deductions, and other payroll items. </li><li>Respond to payroll inquiries via email, providing clear and timely support to employees. </li><li>Support process improvements and assist in transitioning from manual to automated payroll systems. </li><li>Back-up other Payroll Specialists, including those responsible for garnishments, tax levies, child support, and other deductions. </li></ul> <p>What You Will Need</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - Preferred </li><li>3+ years of payroll experience, including knowledge of payroll systems and HR software - Required </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions like VLookups, Pivot Tables) - Required </li><li>Knowledge of payroll processing, audits, and issue resolution - Required </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee data with discretion - Required </li><li>Strong communication skills with a customer-focused attitude and professionalism - Required </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team - Required </li></ul> <p>Keywords</p> <p>Payroll Processing, Payroll Specialist, HR Systems, Accounting Software, Payroll Audits, Wage Deductions, Employee Support, Process Improvement, Confidentiality, Microsoft Excel, Garnishments, Tax Levies, HRIS, Payroll Reporting, eTIME</p>
