<p>Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>This position will lead a self-contained classroom serving students with disabilities. </li><li>The special education teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized instruction aligned with students' IEPs in a supportive, structured environment. </li><li>The role includes academic instruction, behavior management, functional skills training, and collaboration with related service providers and families </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver instruction based on IEP goals and Content Connectors </li><li>Modify curriculum and differentiate instruction </li><li>Collect data to monitor student progress </li><li>Help develop and implement behavioral supports and interventions </li><li>Supervise and provide direction to classroom support staff </li><li>Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings </li><li>Create a safe, structured environment that promotes learning and self-regulation </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Indiana Mild and/or Intense Special Education Teaching license </li><li>Experience working in a specialized classroom for students with disabilities </li><li>Knowledge in creating and implementing IEP's </li><li>Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear a drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel </li></ul> <p>as required by IN state law</p> <ul> <li>Contract includes a comprehensive benefit package with health insurance (three plans options and LCSC Wellness Clinic), long-term disability & life insurance policies.
