<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Description: Ellington Public Schools is seeking a full time nurse for BASES, who will be part of a highly committed and supportive environment.</p> <p>Duties: Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Provide nursing services to students and the school community as needed </li><li>Provide leadership in health issues in accordance with coordinated school health concept. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications: This position requires an organized, knowledgeable, and personable Registered Nurse to work within a collaborative school community to ensure the safety and wellness of students, faculty and staff. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with students. Applicants must be an RN and hold a current CT license, as well as current First Aid and CPR certification. Previous school nursing/substitute nursing experience and familiarity with computer programs preferred. Successful candidate will be required to submit to a state and national criminal history check as well as a DCF review as is required by Connecticut state statute. The rate of pay for the 2025/2026 school year is $45.76/HR.
