<p>Client Overview:</p> <p>Our client, a large organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team based in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate is a technically strong analytical thinker who takes ownership of their financials and has experience with SOX, US GAAP, and cost accounting processes.</p> <p>Salary/Hourly Rate:</p> <p>$90k - $110k</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Senior Accountant will support both general and cost accounting functions. This role is well-suited for someone looking to take the next step in their career while contributing to key financial operations.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:</p> <ul> <li>Support the month-end close and financial reporting, including preparing journal entries, consolidations, and reviewing entries for accuracy. </li><li>Prepare monthly internal financial reports, including financial and statistical data, for management. </li><li>Manage annual financial statements, including footnotes, and maintain ERP system reporting. </li><li>Coordinate quarterly and annual schedules and disclosures. </li><li>Perform SOX control testing, resolve audit issues, and support external audit requirements. </li><li>Assist with cost accounting processes and procedures. </li><li>Analyze inventory variances and related controls. </li><li>Ensure accuracy of reconciliations, roll-forwards, and reporting deadlines. </li><li>Support LIFO/FIFO cost updates and maintain cost accuracy in ERP. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of accounting experience. </li><li>Advanced Excel skills. </li><li>SAP experience is required. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, and vision. </li><li>401(K) + company match. </li></ul>
