<p>EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY</p> <p>POSITION TITLE: Wastewater Treatment Operator (part time)</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Technical Services</p> <p>LOCATION: Chesapeake, Maryland</p> <p>SALARY RANGE: $28 - $38 per hour</p> <p>JOB NUMBER: 2024-G327-01</p> <p>DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>This part time position requires a responsible, hardworking, motivated, and mechanically inclined person to fill a Wastewater Treatment (WWT) Operator position in Chesapeake, Maryland. Must have a valid driver's license.</p> <p>The daily work will include:</p> <ul> <li>Mobilizing, operating, and demobilizing wastewater treatment systems </li></ul> <p>SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in wastewater treatment operations required </li><li>Able to do some heavy lifting and work in hot and cold environments </li><li>Experience working with piping (PVC, steel, HDPE) </li><li>Electrical and instrumentation experience preferred </li><li>Must possess strong mechanical and problem solving skills </li><li>Must be reliable and self-motivated </li><li>OSHA HAZWOPER certificate a plus </li></ul> <p>SALARY/BENEFITS:</p> <p>An employee's salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
