<p>Technician I - Maintenance (Nights)</p> <p>Who we are looking for:</p> <p>We are currently searching for a Technician I - Maintenance to be based out of Allendale, SC. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this person will be responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshooting malfunctions. </li><li>Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment. </li><li>Test, locate, and repair trouble in electrical circuits and equipment; perform electronic equipment repair and troubleshooting; repair and replace broken or defective parts; repair electrical motors, parts, wiring and other electrical devices. </li><li>Use knowledge of principles, methods and equipment in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and electronic equipment. </li><li>Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance requirements. </li><li>Work within team environment with minimum supervision. </li><li>Exercise judgment and initiative within established guidelines. </li><li>Perform inspections of building and equipment required by regulatory agencies. </li><li>Assist management in the development of new policies and procedures regarding employee safety. </li><li>All other assigned duties </li></ul> <p>What you'll bring:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent </li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude </li><li>3 years of experience doing electrical/mechanical maintenance in an industrial/ manufacturing environment </li><li>Must have strong Mechanical and Electrical skill set </li><li>Experience with installation of machinery and equipment as well as dis-assembly. </li><li>Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner. </li><li>Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred </li></ul> <p>Within 3 months, you'll:</p> <ul> <li>Complete any required training </li><li>Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role </li><li>Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations. </li></ul> <p>Who we are:</p> <p>Atkore is a five-time Great Place to Work certified company and a two-time Top Workplaces USA award winner! Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
