<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Health and Physical Education Teacher (K-5)</p> <p>Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence - Delaware County, PA</p> <p>Position Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Start Date: August 11, 2025</p> <p>Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications</p> <p>Certification Required: PA Certification in Health and Physical Education PK-12</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence is seeking a dynamic and passionate Health and Physical Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and standards-aligned instruction in both health and physical education to elementary students in grades K-5, promoting lifelong fitness, wellness, and healthy decision-making.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certification in Health and Physical Education (PK-12) </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of the PA Academic Standards for Health, Safety, and Physical Education </li><li>Experience working with diverse student populations in an urban or charter school setting is preferred </li><li>Strong classroom management and organizational skills </li><li>Ability to differentiate instruction to meet varied student needs </li><li>Commitment to equitable education and the mission of Vision Academy CS of Excellence </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver daily lessons aligned to PA state standards and school curriculum </li><li>Implement developmentally appropriate fitness activities and health education topics </li><li>Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment </li><li>Promote social-emotional wellness, teamwork, and sportsmanship </li><li>Assess and report student progress in health and physical education </li><li>Collaborate with school staff to support student success and school-wide initiatives </li><li>Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and equipment inventory </li><li>Participate in professional development, school events, and staff meetings </li></ul> <p>Application Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Resume </li><li>Copy of PA Teaching Certificate </li><li>Transcripts (Bachelor's and/or Master's) </li><li>Three current letters of professional reference </li><li>Current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI) </li></ul> <p>To Apply:</p> <p>Please send your complete application package via email to hr@vacse.org</p>
