<p>The Bilingual Community-Based Counselor provides family-centered mental health counseling, support, crisis intervention, and case management services for youth and their families. Bilingual Community-Based Counselors are members of a multi-disciplinary team and provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive services in the community at times and locations convenient to the family.</p> <p>About Wraparound</p> <p>Wraparound is a family planning process that provides therapeutic support to youth and families in the community with the intention of enhancing natural resources and keeping youth in the least restrictive and most family-like setting, with the intention of reducing the need for institutional care. Services range up to 12 months and include regular Child and Family Team Meetings that support youth and families with identifying strengths, creating realistic goals, and developing a comprehensive step-by-step plan based on those goals. Youth and families are referred directly by Contra Costa County (CCC) Children and Family Services, the CCC Juvenile Probation Department, CCC Children's Behavioral Health, or Kaiser.</p> <p>About Seneca</p> <p>Seneca Family of Agencies has been nominated among the Bay Area's Top Workplaces for nearly a decade. We are committed to building a diverse staff, and our programs actively engage in conversations and training on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to promote equity and justice for the youth and families we serve.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide counseling and case management services for enrolled youth and their families </li><li>Support client and family to connect to natural supports and community-based resources </li><li>Provide crisis intervention and other mental health services as needed at client homes, schools, and other community locations </li><li>Participate in all treatment reviews, program staff meetings, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when necessary </li><li>Complete mental health notes and other paperwork, and complete service tracking documentation as indicated </li><li>Assist with planning arrangements and transportation for school, therapy appointments, and court hearings as needed </li><li>Participate in providing emergency on-call response as scheduled </li><li>Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's crisis response training </li><li>This may include intervening with the students' behavioral program through physical management </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education/Experience Requirements:</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree OR</p> </li><li> <p>Associate degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable experience OR</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experience</p> </li><li> <p>Applicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families or working in the social services field</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual in English and Spanish required</p> </li><li> <p>At least 21 years of age</p> </li><li> <p>TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Own vehicle, valid driver's license, clean driving record required</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with children/youth and families with complex and enduring needs preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience implementing family-focused services preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Full-time</p> </li><li> <p>Tuesday - Saturday 9 am-5:30 pm</p> </li><li> <p>Hybrid; provide in-person services to clients & complete documentation remote</p> </li><li> <p>On Call</p> </li><li> <p>At least one 24 hour on call shift per month in which to support crisis calls, during the week and/or weekends</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Starting at $26.22 - $28.72 per hour</p> </li><li> <p>Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications</p> </li><li> <p>Salary increases each year</p> </li><li> <p>Mileage reimbursement</p> </li><li> <p>Comprehensive employee benefits package:</p> </li><li> <p>Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, and fertility coverage</p> </li><li> <p>Short and long-term disability, family leave, and life insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Partially paid premiums for dependents</p> </li><li> <p>403b retirement plan</p> </li><li> <p>Employer-Paid Assistance Plan</p> </li><li> <p>Seneca is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness certified employer</p> </li><li> <p>Abundant promotional opportunities across California and Washington</p> </li><li> <p>Specialized training and development opportunities</p> </li></ul>
