<p>Description - External</p> <p>Job Title: Nurse Manager-MVH</p> <p>Unit: TCU</p> <p>Shift: 7:30am-1600</p> <p>Status: Full-time / 80 Hours Per Pay</p> <p>Facility: Miami Valley Hospital</p> <p>The increasing impact of market forces on health care management requires Nurse Managers to be correspondingly alert to match their activities to these market forces. The Nurse Manager has responsibilities for a functional area of patient services and must collaborate with others to achieve strategic objectives and maintain the overall health of a specific community segment consistent with our position as the Region's Leader in health care delivery.</p> <p>The Nurse Manager is specifically responsible to take actions for:</p> <ul> <li>Ensuring cost effective and efficient processes and outcome management for internal and external customers. </li><li>Achieving seamless delivery of service by appropriately involving colleagues, physicians, other customers, and staff to ensure commitment, communication and cross functional linkages. </li><li>Collaborating in developing and implementing processes which achieve strategically relevant quality outcomes in a specific functional area. </li><li>Overseeing and developing systems to ensure accountability for operations and managerial effectiveness. </li><li>Articulating unit vision and utilizing resources to ensure staff commitment to strategic and unit objectives. </li><li>Developing a team of highly skilled professionals. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications - External</p> <p>An applicant for this position must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the State of Ohio. The applicant must have a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or a health related program of studies. CPR/ACLS certified. A minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience is preferred. Other demonstrated skills necessary for this position include expertise in: communication across disciplines, change management, managing group dynamics, and performance improvement process</p>
