Using the tools of interfaith and cross-cultural dialogue, we create life-changing experiences that lead to actions for the creation of a more equitable and loving community."</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The InterFaith Initiatives Coordinator for the Center for Dialogue & Action (CDA) is a part-time position with responsibilities in interfaith understanding and dialogue. The InterFaith Initiatives Coordinator is responsible for staffing the network of faith communities supporting our mission; identifying and addressing the needs of the faith communities; and developing education, dialogue, and training to promote racial equity and interfaith understanding.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree and/or Ordained clergy with 3 years' work-related experience with faith communities </li><li>Strongly connected to community resources and highly motivated to engage with community stakeholders </li><li>Ability to work with clergy across faith traditions </li><li>Excellent organizational skills </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills </li><li>Experience working successfully with people from diverse backgrounds </li><li>Ability to work with volunteers </li><li>Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet capabilities </li><li>Available to work non-traditional hours </li><li>Experience in the practice and philosophy of dialogue </li><li>Ability to apply a racial equity lens to the agency's work </li><li>Event-planning experience </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Program Development and Management</p> <ul> <li>Develop new programs to build bridges among faith communities </li><li>Develop and support programs to meet identified community needs </li><li>Provide interfaith dialogues for the community </li><li>Recruit and support writers for the CNY Inspiration Column in partnership with the Post Standard </li><li>Provide staff support for the Center for Dialogue & Action </li></ul> <p>Planning & Evaluation:</p> <ul> <li>Plan and implement events within and among faith communities </li><li>Prepare project reports internally and for funders </li><li>Evaluate Programs </li></ul> <p>Partnership Development and Collaboration:</p> <ul> <li>Create collaborative working partnerships with groups who support the program's work </li><li>Represent InterFaith Works to the community to promote understanding and supportive relationships </li></ul> <p>Community and Public Relations</p> <ul> <li>Promote the program with internal and external print and electronic media </li><li>Participate in appropriate community organizations and coalitions that further the work </li></ul> <p>Management and Supervision</p> <ul> <li>Abide by a strict code of confidentiality in all matters related to IFW and its members </li></ul> <p>This position is required to perform other duties as assigned</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area (i.e.: house of worship visits, agency visits, service provider visits) at least 50% of the time, using reliable transportation, traversing streets, ascending/descending stairs, and being exposed to outside weather conditions. </li><li>Remain in a stationary position at a workstation and use a computer approximately 40% of the time. </li><li>Frequently sit for long periods while attending meetings. </li></ul> <p>Submit Application Materials:</p> <p>Please email resume along with a cover letter and a minimum of three professional employment references to:</p> <p>Rick Lee</p> <p>InterFaith Works of CNY</p> <p>1010 James St.</p> <p>Syracuse, NY 13203</p> <p>Email: [email protected]</p>
