<p>College: Fletcher Technical Community College</p> <p>Department: Academic Affairs & Initiatives</p> <p>Sub department: Business, Ed, Arts, Math & Sciences (BEAMS)</p> <p>Type of Appointment: Part time - Temporary</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting the Director with development and implementation of STEM programs related to sciences and mathematics. Examples include but are not limited to: </li></ul> <p>o Summer Camp Development</p> <p>o After-School Programming</p> <p>o Teacher Professional Development</p> <p>o Community/Citizen Science Events</p> <ul> <li>Identify opportunities to support programming of local, regional, and state level STEM-based competitions for K-12, College, and University students. </li><li>Attend STEM-related meetings and professional development opportunities with the STEM Center Director as requested </li><li>Assist with the development of STEM assets and gaps assessments, and work with regional partners to generate a database of STEM events, programs, and opportunities in LASTEM Region 3 and across the state </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Education: Student enrolled full time in College or University courses, majoring in a STEM, Education, or Business program of study.</p> <p>Preferred Experience: Background or experiences working with K-12 students, activity development, event planning, data entry and evaluation.</p> <p>Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
