<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Outsourcing Specialist Buyer is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing external suppliers to fulfill the organization's outsourcing needs. This includes sourcing services or products from third-party providers, managing contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining high standards of quality. The role requires strong communication skills, negotiation expertise, and a deep understanding of outsourcing processes.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Sourcing & Vendor Management: </li><li>Identify potential suppliers and vendors for outsourcing opportunities. </li><li>Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service with external providers. </li><li>Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers. </li><li>Evaluate the performance of current vendors to ensure that contractual obligations are met. </li><li>Monitor vendor performance based on quality, timeliness, and cost. </li><li>Market Research: </li><li>Conduct thorough research on market trends and industry developments to stay ahead of potential suppliers and opportunities. </li><li>Benchmark against competitors to ensure the best market rates and services are being utilized. </li><li>Cost Management & Budgeting: </li><li>Develop and manage budgets for outsourcing projects. </li><li>Ensure that outsourcing projects are cost-effective and within allocated budgets. </li><li>Track savings and efficiency improvements to report to management. </li><li>Contract Negotiation & Compliance: </li><li>Negotiate favorable terms with third-party vendors, ensuring alignment with company objectives and legal requirements. </li><li>Work closely with legal and compliance teams to review contracts and ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met. </li><li>Supplier Performance Evaluation: </li><li>Continuously assess vendor performance through regular reviews and feedback mechanisms. </li><li>Address performance issues and collaborate with suppliers on corrective actions. </li><li>Process Improvement: </li><li>Identify and implement improvements in outsourcing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. </li><li>Ensure alignment between outsourcing strategies and the organization's overall goals. </li><li>Collaboration: </li><li>Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, legal, and operations to align outsourcing strategies with company needs. </li><li>Provide guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholders regarding the sourcing of goods and services. </li><li>Reporting: </li><li>Provide regular reports to senior management regarding outsourcing activities, savings, vendor performance, and market trends. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of all supplier agreements, purchases, and transactions. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Education: </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. </li><li>Experience: </li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with a focus on outsourcing or vendor management. </li><li>Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. </li><li>Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in outsourcing. </li><li>Skills: </li><li>Strong negotiation and communication skills. </li><li>Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market trends and supplier capabilities. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software/tools. </li><li>Strong project management skills with attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Certifications: </li><li>Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS). </li><li>Knowledge: </li><li>Experience in specific industries (e.g., IT outsourcing, manufacturing, etc.) may be preferred. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Occasional travel may be required to meet with vendors or suppliers. </li></ul>
