Not too shabby!</p> <p>We need someone with exceptional customer service and technical skills to provide support to qualifying small businesses regarding state and federal air regulations and requirements, including details on permit applications, compliance reporting, and methods for performing emissions calculations.</p> <p>You'll evaluate air pollution sources, conduct site visits as needed to assess compliance status, and offer tailored recommendations to help businesses assess and meet their permit requirements. You'll assist with developing and presenting compliance-related materials and workshops to small businesses and trade associations as well as promote the resources available through DAPC and Ohio EPA.</p> <p>If you love working with people and making a positive impact on the environment, this could be the perfect role for you!</p> <p>Let's breeze through the main tasks.</p> <ul> <li>Provide qualifying small businesses with technical expertise on state and federal air regulations and requirements. </li><li>Maintain a working knowledge of state and federal air regulations and requirements. </li><li>Evaluate air pollution sources and conduct site visits as needed. </li><li>Assist in developing compliance assistance materials and providing outreach to qualifying small businesses. </li><li>Collaborate with local business assistance organizations as required. </li></ul> <p>Take a deep breath and go for this opportunity today!</p> <p>4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in position involving geology or hydrology, engineering, chemistry, physics, biology, environmental science &/or other comparable physical or health science field, earth science &/or urban & regional planning, experience must be commensurate with duties to be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Or baccalaureate degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, biology, environmental science, earth science &/or urban & regional planning, geology or other comparable physical or health science field. </li><li>Or positions involved in providing financial, technical & administrative assistance for planning, design & implementation of environmental infrastructure & pollution abatement, & prevention projects, applicants must have completed undergraduate core coursework in business/public administration, public relations/marketing, political science or communications, or have 4 yrs. exp. in position involving public contact to explain policies, procedures & programs of agency, writing of promotional &/or explanatory publications & materials, budgeting, contract administration & working with others on team projects. Note: For all positions engaged in field work, applicants must be able to provide own transportation.
