<p>GENERAL SUMMARY</p> <p>Under supervision from the custodial worker supervisor, or maintenance supervisor, provides all necessary custodial services to maintain a clean and healthy environment within and around county buildings.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB JUNCTIONS</p> <p>Provide all necessary custodial services to maintain a clean and healthy environment within and around county-owned buildings.</p> <p>Cleans offices, including, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>wash mirrors, doors, door glass, radiator </li><li>dust blinds; dust and polish all furniture, including telephones, calculators, desk lamps and partitions </li><li>sweep and mop floors daily; vacuum all carpeted areas, daily </li><li>empty wastebaskets and replace liners, as needed, and wash wastebaskets, as needed </li><li>dust and clean all books, bookcases and bookshelves </li><li>disinfect door handles and phones </li></ul> <p>Clean bathrooms, including, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>replace tissues, paper towels and sanitary napkins as needed </li><li>fill soap dispensers as needed </li><li>clean all fixtures, mirrors and partitions, empty wastebaskets and replace liners </li><li>sweep and mop floors </li><li>clean walls </li><li>disinfect door handles / latches </li></ul> <p>Responsible to perform custodial duties at all other County owned buildings that are within the control and responsibility of the Lucas County Commissioners.</p> <p>Additional duties as assigned.</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</p> <p>Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures; safety practices and procedures; equipment, cleaning products and other materials used in custodial services; methods for cleaning.</p> <p>Skill in operation of manual and motorized equipment. Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures; safety practices and procedures; equipment, cleaning products and other materials used in custodial services; methods for cleaning.</p> <p>Ability to count whole numbers; read signs and labels; communicate with supervisor; follow oral and written instructions; perform light manual labor, lifting up to 30 lbs.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Any combination of education, skills, or experience deemed to be acceptable by the employer.</p> <p>UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS</p> <p>Incumbent may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and fumes. Incumbent may also periodically work under unsanitary conditions.</p>
