<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job Location: Main Campus - North Canton, OH</p> <p>Position Type: Graduate Assistant</p> <p>Salary Range: Undisclosed</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>To assist the Head Tennis Coach in all facets of the program including planning, coaching, and recruiting . Work is performed under the general supervision of the Vice President/Director of Athletics in coordination with the Head Tennis Coach.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li></li><li>Assists the head coach in managing and directing the program. </li><li>Educates and mentors student athletes in all aspects of their holistic development; mind, body and spirit. </li><li>Assists the head coach with all aspects of the program including training, competing and scheduling. </li><li>Assists in the coordination of travel arrangements. </li><li>Assists in completion and processing of paperwork as requested. </li><li>Assists with recruiting, including contacting prospective student-athletes, evaluating high school and junior college players, and maintaining accurate records and data bases on the NCAA and ITA programs. </li><li>Works cooperatively with personnel in the athletic department, attends department meetings and activities, and always represents the University in a positive manner when interacting with the community, alumni, coaches, the media and the general public . </li><li>Responsible for abiding by NCAA II compliance rules and legislation as well as educating student athletes about those rules. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Vice President/Director of Athletics. </li><li>Failure to comply by NCAA II rules will be grounds for discipline and/or termination. </li><li>Other duties as assigned or required </li></ul> <p>This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) of this position. Other significant experience relative to coaching and/or the administration of an intercollegiate athletics program can be considered. Valid Driver ' s License to assist with driving vans</p> <p>Skills and abilities:</p> <p>Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff and faculty.
