As a HR Generalist you will assist with the implementation, coordination, management and follow through of the day-to-day functions, programs and policies/procedures of the HR department.</p> <p>This is a fulltime, 40 hours per week position. Hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm.</p> <p>Mission - Improve the Quality of Life of Others:</p> <ul> <li>Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits and employee recognition. </li><li>Conduct benefit enrollment for eligible employees; assist with benefit administration including medical, dental, vision, voluntary life, life insurance, short term & long term disability and 401k retirement. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organizational guidelines that affect human resources (e.g., OSHA, EEOC, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Wage & Hour). </li><li>Support employee engagement surveys, as needed. </li></ul> <p>Vision - ODHS preferred partner in East Central Indiana for improving the well-being of individuals and the communities in which they live:</p> <ul> <li>Understand and participate in the tactical and strategic development of human resource practices. </li><li>Assists in the administration of FMLA and workers compensation. </li><li>Manages benefit enrollment, changes and terminations within Paycor and benefit websites including COBRA. </li><li>Responds to employee inquiries regarding benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and FMLA. </li><li>Administrator of Employee Anniversary Program. </li><li>Supports bi-weekly company new hire orientation. </li><li>Coordinates internal fund raising for community partners and Open Door. </li></ul> <p>Values - Esteem the Team, Maximize Potential, Do the Right Thing, Choose Compassion, Encourage Uniqueness:</p> <ul> <li>Provides customer service to organization employees. </li><li>Assist with internal and external HR-related matters. </li><li>Assists with internal investigation and disputes. </li><li>Inform and work with the Director of HR or VP of HR on personnel matters. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in related field from accredited school, preferred. </li><li>Knowledge in FMLA and benefits is a plus. </li></ul> <p>About you:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent written and verbal skills. </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and precisely. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate an attitude of service toward staff and administration. </li><li>Able to make quick and accurate decisions. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidential information. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate initiative, take direction and work independently. </li><li>Must be flexible. </li><li>Must always demonstrate professionalism. </li><li>Ability to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. </li><li>Possess understanding of multi-cultural differences within the staff. </li><li>Skill in exercising initiative, listening, judgment, discretion and decision-making within the guidelines of the policies and procedures. </li><li>Ability to prioritize work assignments, work independently and perform duties efficiently with minimal supervision. </li><li>Participate in professional development activities. </li><li>Requires occasional travel. </li></ul> <p>Physical and Environmental Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to clinic environment. Tasks involve contact with blood or body substances. </li><li>Requires standing, walking or sitting for long periods of time. Occasional bending or stretching. </li><li>Requires the ability to work in stressful situations. </li><li>Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range or use of approved adaptive equipment. </li></ul>
