Education may be substituted with a minimum of 8 years of Security experience with at least 3 of those years in a supervisor position, or at least 4 years of Military and achieved the rank E5 or above or Law Enforcement Experience with an honorable discharge. </li><li>High proficiency in English communication verbal and written is required. </li><li>Must be able to achieve Position qualification within 3 months of hire date. </li></ul> <p>Seeking a mature, responsible candidate to fill the Shift Manager position. Position deals with Client and public relations. Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly, able to act as an incident commander in emergency situations. The shift manager is the Senior Manager on duty after hours, must be able to manage large groups of security officers, schedules, training and disciplinary procedures. As well as multiple departments within one building such as the Patrol Division, the Command Center, and Concierge officers. Candidates that meet these criteria can expect to go through a multi-interview process, which will assess experience, ability to maintain composure under pressure, and scenario-based questions.</p> <p>Job requires a manager-by-walking around style, Candidates should expect a large portion of their shifts to be on their feet. The Shift managers will interact frequently with the local population to include the unsheltered, and other emergency services, outreach programs and the client. Shift Managers must adhere to uniform and appearance policies:</p> <p>Security officer requirements:</p> <p>Security Officer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent oral and written communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy is required, working in MS Windows, Outlook, and One Note. </li><li>Vigilant patrolling of a large property to include Vagrants, and the community with quality-of-life issues. </li><li>May be required to review security footage and conduct investigations of incidents. </li><li>Will be required to respond to emergency situations to patrons with Quality-of-Life issues such as homelessness and addictions. </li><li>Will be required to write incident reports. </li><li>Will also be required to use walkie talkies to communicate closely with the team. </li><li>Must be able to discern irate tenant/customer calls/ access requests. </li><li>Previous Law Enforcement, or related field/education in a fast-paced environment is required. </li><li>Those in the process of obtaining a Criminal Justice degree for a related field are encouraged to apply. </li><li>Excellent computer skills utilizing multiple screens </li><li>Neat and professional appearance </li><li>Dependable means of transportation </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English (both written and verbal) </li><li>High School Diploma/GED Equivalent </li><li>Candidates must also be able to successfully pass ALL pre-employment background, and drug screenings. </li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age. </li></ul> <p>Security Guard Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Security Patrol Officer will be responsible for responding to emergency situations in person </li><li>May be required to be outdoors during all-weather situations to monitor, patrol, and respond to threats/emergencies. </li><li>Use modern technology to monitor a variety of alarm signals and respond/dispatch security personnel to those areas following the standard operations manual to notify the proper authorities. </li><li>Answer incoming lines </li></ul> <p>Must be able to work individually and as a team to respond to incidents.</p>
