<p>St. Thomas Aquinas College invites applications for the position of Career Center Coordinator. Under the direction of the Dean of Experiential Learning and the day-to-day supervision by the Director of Career Development, this position supports the administration of all programs, services, and operations of the Career Center. The Coordinator role is a 9-month (tentatively identified as August 15-May 15), entry-level position with broad-based responsibilities and opportunities for professional growth.</p> <p>Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Director of Career Development in the tracking of alumni career placement statistics and the creation and maintenance of systems that enable students to receive credit for the various activities within career engagement and experiential learning. </li><li>Assist with scheduling logistics for all first and second-year students in STAC 102 and 201 courses. </li><li>Support Director and Assistant Director with aspects of daily operation of the Aquinas Leaders program, with specific focus on answering student questions in person or via email, scheduling programs, and tracking leader earned points. </li><li>Co-chapter advisement for the National Society of Leadership & Success; primary support for student Executive Board. </li><li>Submit event and program logistics and reservations. </li><li>Assist with program and event promotion via communication channels, including email campaigns, social media, and word of mouth. </li><li>Provide support and staff job fairs and campus-wide events/programming. </li><li>Track department expenses on an internal spreadsheet and reconcile with monthly expense reports. Process reimbursements and purchase order or invoices. </li><li>Serve on Spartan Social Share Committee. </li><li>In the absence of a social media intern, produce the weekly department newsletter and content for all department social media. </li><li>Assists with other administrative duties, such as supply orders, keeping the kitchenette break room organized, and other tasks as required to help maintain efficient office operation. </li><li>Assist with supervision of office student worker schedule and projects. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. </li><li>One year of professional experience in a fast-paced office environment is preferred, but not required. </li><li>Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google. </li><li>Knowledge of and ability to use social media effectively required. </li><li>Ability to multi-task while managing multiple projects and assignments. </li><li>Ability and willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of physical and academic abilities. </li></ul> <p>Application</p> <p>Please send the following materials electronically to Ms. Christine Smith, St. Thomas Aquinas College at csmith@stac.edu: a cover letter addressing the applicant's credentials and experience as they relate to the position; resume or curriculum vitae; and names, email addresses and contact information for three professional references.
