Explore more about the college here.</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>The Financial Aid Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for the front desk. This role is primarily responsible for administering financial aid to enrolled students.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Counsel students and families on all aspects of financial aid </li><li>Administer Federal, State, and Institutional Aid to enrolled students </li><li>Serve at various campus events and financial literacy presentations </li><li>Provide assistance and back up to the Senior Financial Aid Coordinator for all operational and Federal Work-Study processing and reconciliation </li><li>Provide backup assistance for quality control checks and perform CPS verification reporting </li><li>Perform Verification, SAP, PJ Appeals, and C-Flags as needed </li><li>Review and assist with web updates and materials for all programs and financial literacy materials </li><li>Review and clear ISIR C-Flags </li><li>Assist with development and publication of consumer information disclosure requirements </li><li>Assist with editing and developing financial aid policies, procedures, documents, and official written communications, and create financial aid materials for the office </li><li>Assist with overflow processing, including award review, quality control tasks, and reporting </li><li>Serve on institutional committees as assigned </li><li>Engage in professional development and maintain working knowledge of financial aid regulations </li><li>Work closely with Admissions, Athletics, Academic Advisors, Registrar's Office, and Business Office to support students through enrollment and financial aid processes </li><li>Monitor and update Owing Balance Reports, WA Templates, and Master Enrollment Lists as needed </li><li>Assist borrowers with default aversion and resolution issues </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment </li><li>Good organizational and time management skills </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to work independently, as well as with a team. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Technical proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Knowledge of PowerFAIDS, SLATE, Navigate, or Datatel Colleague System preferred </li><li>Experience operating and reconciling spreadsheets </li><li>Experience working in a busy, high-demand office environment </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Work hours are typically Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some late evenings and weekends are required for open houses, peak processing times, and other college-related activities. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Full-time employees are eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Full-time employees can earn between 18 and 23 paid days off a year. The employer covers tuition remission after 90 days of employment and covers 100 % (employees are responsible for books and technology fees). The college is committed to work-life balance and has a summer schedule from June through August. We currently have 14 paid holidays, including a winter break. You will have the opportunity to participate in our retirement plan from day one.
