Responsibilities include assessment, treatment, monitoring, education, and preventative care for patients of all ages. This role requires critical thinking, clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients across the lifespan </li><li>Performs routine procedures such as eye irrigation, wound care, and dressing applications </li><li>Initiates emergency care and interventions in critical situations </li><li>Provides health education and preventive care support </li><li>Supports physicians with assessments, diagnostic procedures, and minor surgical procedures </li><li>Develops and evaluates treatment plans for patients with long-term health conditions </li><li>Communicates clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams </li><li>Participates in quality improvement and safety initiatives </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Strong clinical judgment and decision-making ability </li><li>Effective communication skills, both verbal and written </li><li>Proficiency in documentation and EHR systems </li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient needs </li><li>Competency in emergency response and nursing interventions </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills </li><li>Commitment to evidence-based and person-centered care </li><li>Populations Served: Care provided to all patient populations including: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric </li><li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving patients and equipment </li><li>Regular use of vision, hearing, and tactile senses for patient care </li><li>Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, biohazardous waste, and chemicals </li><li>Ability to perform tasks in a high-stress, fast-paced environment </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Associate Degree in Nursing (Required) </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred) </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the practicing state or compact RN license </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>One (1) year of clinical nursing experience in a physician practice setting preferred </li></ul>
