Our sales team is trained across all of our products to give our customers insights into our entire portfolio.</p> <p>Database Administrator</p> <p>We are seeking an individual with strong expertise related to various aspects of system administration supporting MACOM offices and data centers globally. This role will be responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to infrastructure services. Also, they need to participate in research and development to drive innovation and efficiency within IT infrastructure.</p> <p>Primary Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage MACOM's Databases and applications.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide technical recommendations for services performance and reliability improvements.</p> </li></ul> <p>Roles and Responsibilities (not limited to):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Installing, configuring, maintaining, performing upgrades and downgrades, troubleshooting, documenting for all databases</p> </li><li> <p>Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialized role</p> </li><li> <p>Design and implement database in accordance to end user's information needs and views</p> </li><li> <p>Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner</p> </li><li> <p>Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data</p> </li><li> <p>Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses</p> </li><li> <p>Create and manage high-availability and disaster recovery environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users</p> </li><li> <p>Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards</p> </li><li> <p>Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required</p> </li></ul> <p>Application systems support</p> <ul> <li> <p>Partner with application team to understand application landscape and support them wherever applicable.</p> </li><li> <p>Recommends and develops mission critical solutions; makes recommendations to address capacity constraints, performance limitation on wide range of technologies.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualities/Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Proficiency in Oracle or MSSQL database administration.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with various database management systems (e.g., Oracle DB, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc. )</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of database administration tools and software</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of data security principles and best practices</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications (Required):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's or advanced degree</p> </li><li> <p>5-8+ years related DBA experience. 10+ years of overall IT related experience</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and in teams reaching high levels of productivity</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate strong work ethics</p> </li><li> <p>Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.</p> </li></ul> <p>Technologies / Competencies</p> <p>Must Have Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Linux and / or Windows administration </li><li>Virtualization: VMWare / Nutanix </li><li>Backup and recovery: Veeam </li></ul> <p>Good to Have Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience working within the Semiconductor Industry</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to Atlassian tools JIRA/Confluence</p> </li></ul> <p>The Salary Range for this position is $83,000 - $136,700.
