<p>Position Type: Substitute Cafeteria Worker Location: TBD Reports to:Cafeteria Cook/Manager and Director of Food Services Salary: $16.00 per hour General Description: To serve the school community quality, attractive, and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness. Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be ServSafe Manager Certified or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire </li><li>Must be ServSafe Allergen certified or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire </li><li>Previous experience working in a food production environment preferred </li><li>School nutrition training and work experience preferred </li><li>Effective oral, written communication, and technological skills Basic Computer Skills </li><li>Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI). </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Extensive physical demands, including but not limited to lifting up to 40lbs, bending, pushing, and pulling </li><li>Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot/cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment </li></ul> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Performs assigned duties in relation to the preparation of food, serving food, cashiering, washing dishes, and cleaning all areas of kitchen </li><li>Removes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining area </li><li>Follows all policies of the Food Service Program including safety measures, sanitation practices, personnel standards, uniform standards, work techniques, and performing duties </li><li>Ability to operate kitchen equipment properly </li><li>Maintains proper records as instructed including but not limited to: Production Records, Temperature Logs, and Cash Reports </li><li>Understands the components of a reimbursable meal </li><li>Ability to work in a friendly manner with co-workers and students </li><li>Participates actively in maintaining the operation, cleaning, and sanitation of all equipment and facilities according to all HACCP and SOP requirements </li><li>Follows the direction of the Director to complete work assignments </li><li>Completes training opportunities as required program regulation </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned to ensure optimal program operation </li></ul> <p>We understand that our collective success depends on the robust exchange of ideas-an exchange that is best when the rich diversity of our perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences flourishes.
