<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Pittsboro Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our intermediate teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students in grades 3-5, creating a safe and engaging classroom environment, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of each student.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Indiana Academic Standards and district curriculum. </li><li>Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners. </li><li>Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. </li><li>Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture. </li><li>Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and colleagues to support student learning and development. </li><li>Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and collaborative planning with grade-level and interdisciplinary teams. </li><li>Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning and engagement. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and other required documentation. </li><li>Uphold school and district policies, procedures, and expectations. </li><li>Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field. </li><li>Valid Indiana teaching license for Elementary Education (K-6). </li><li>Prior experience in an elementary classroom setting preferred. </li><li>Strong understanding of child development and instructional best practices. </li><li>Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills. </li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional growth and student success. </li></ul>
