We seek candidates with backgrounds in an APRN role, Population and Public Health Nursing, Nursing Leadership and/or Nursing Education whose background, teaching interests, and scholarship agenda will help foster excellence in teaching, and diversity in the college.</p> <p>Essential Duties</p> <ul> <li>Provide classroom and clinical instruction for graduate nursing courses </li><li>Participate in the development, evaluation and revision of the nursing curriculum and course materials </li><li>Provide academic support and guidance to students through academic advising </li><li>Maintain professional competence </li><li>Serve on masters and doctoral project teams </li><li>Support the advancement of the graduate department strategic plan and SON mission and vision. </li><li>Contribute to a healthy work environment </li><li>Participate in School and College activities. </li><li>Serve on School and College committees. </li><li>Participate in community service. </li><li>Engage in scholarly endeavors, including publications and presentations </li><li>Establish and maintain partnerships with healthcare organizations and community stakeholders </li><li>Contribute to a healthy work environment </li><li>Model professionalism, kindness, and collaboration in all interactions. </li></ul> <p>Occasional Duties</p> <ul> <li>May teach undergraduate courses </li><li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Graduate Department Chair </li></ul> <p>Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Doctoral degree in Nursing (PhD, DNP, Ed.D). </li><li>College-level teaching experience. </li><li>Relevant clinical experience. </li><li>Current RI RN license (Current Certification and APRN license in population and role required if faculty is teaching clinical courses in the NP or CNS tracks). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience teaching graduate and doctoral-level nursing courses. </li><li>Relevant teaching and clinical experiences in acute care nursing. </li><li>Relevant research activities. </li></ul> <p>Environmental Conditions</p> <p>The employee is not exposed to known adverse environmental conditions other than those of working in healthcare settings.</p>
