You must have a keen attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills.</p> <p>What are the core responsibilities for the role?</p> <ul> <li>Project cost accounting (assist with project setup, verification, and reports) </li><li>Ensure invoicing requirements are met by deadlines </li><li>Help project managers achieve financially successful projects </li><li>Support project audits </li><li>Review and enter subconsultant invoices </li><li>Analyze and report accounts receivable status and collection </li><li>Assist team with process improvements </li><li>Other accounting related duties as assigned </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office, 10-key by touch </li><li>Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting practices </li><li>Outstanding attention to detail, proactive follow-up </li><li>Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment </li><li>Professional appearance, written and verbal skills </li><li>Maintains confidentiality with sensitive information </li><li>Ability to work successfully in a team environment as well as independently </li><li>Anxious to learn and to help others </li><li>Proactively seeks to improve processes and increase efficiency </li><li>Reliable, self-motivated, positive attitude </li><li>Strong communication and customer service skills </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field (or demonstrated proven equivalent experience) </li><li>1-5 years of related work experience; engineering, construction, or architectural experience is highly preferred </li><li>Preference given to those with Deltek software experience, especially Vantagepoint </li></ul> <p>Why would a candidate want this job?</p> <p>At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
