<p>Position Information</p> <p>Classification Title Training Professional I FLSA Exempt FTE 1.00 Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>At least 2 years teaching at high school, technical school or in an adult learning environment or related area. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in education, communication, or related field </li><li>Bilingual </li></ul> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Training Professional III will serve as a specialist in designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for staff (and potentially faculty) at UGA. This role will lead complex training initiatives, act as a subject matter consultant, coordinate multiple programs simultaneously, and may provide leadership or oversight to other training staff or contractors. The role supports UGA's mission and aligns with the institution's core values: Integrity, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of and the ability to use training methodology, time management skills, and organizational skills </li><li>Strategic mindset: ability to align training programs with institutional goals and identify long-term training needs. </li><li>Adaptability and innovation. Keeps pace with trends in training, flips old paradigms to add value. </li><li>Consulting orientation: able to work with managers to assess needs and design solutions. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate, present, and teach effectively in front of groups </li><li>Collaboration and interpersonal: work well across departments and build strong relationships. </li><li>Ability to operate audio visual equipment </li><li>Ability to develop teaching material utilizing Microsoft office suite (including power point, word, excel, and translator), Adobe photoshop </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed in both office and field settings. </li><li>Be able to walk through multiple buildings and across campus for training. </li><li>Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and operate or assess custodial equipment. </li><li>Early morning, evening, or weekend work for operational evaluations. </li><li>Driving to perform job related duties </li></ul> <p>Is driving a responsibility of this position?
