<p>Summary</p> <p>Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, and in addition to the regular duties of general labor/paint, the Paint Line Lead is responsible for overseeing the Paint line employees, ensuring that goals and objectives are met while meeting all quality and safety standards.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.</p> <ul> <li>Works closely and oversees the Paint Line team, ensuring quality standards and production goals are met. </li><li>Trains and mentor employees; assigs and directs work; provides input for performance appraisals; addresses complaints and resolves problems. </li><li>Reviews daily work orders provided by Production Control and plans and distributes work accordingly </li><li>Creates a daily paint schedule according to the priority of the work order, paint color and other factors </li><li>Tests washing tank water regularly to ensure pH and chemical levels are correct, and completes related documentation </li><li>Adjust temperature/speed of the oven (depending on the equipment at each location) based on the dimension and type of parts being painted </li><li>Coordinates with Shipping and Fabrication departments to ensure optimal flow of materials </li><li>Manages any unexpected changes and adjust paint schedules if needed </li><li>Uses forklifts to move materials around the plant if needed </li><li>Inspect pained parts regularly and checks for defects </li><li>Completes and maintains any required paperwork, records and documents </li><li>Checks work area for hazards </li><li>Complies with safety regulations and wears appropriate PPE at all times </li><li>Leaves work area in a clean/safe state when shift is complete </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required </li><li>3+ years of manufacturing work experience </li><li>Supervisory and Leadership experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Other skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints </li><li>Ability to understand measurements and use a tape measurer </li></ul> <p>Language Skills</p> <p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish helpful, but not required.</p> <p>Mathematical Skills</p> <p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, common fractions and decimals.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability</p> <p>Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instruction provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
