<p>WESTFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>TITLE: HEALTH OFFICE PARAPROFESSIONAL</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of authorized administrators shall: 1.Assist the health office staff and school administrators with setting up meetings and contacting parents. 2.Assist the health office staff and school administrators with all necessary paperwork, filing and mailing. 3.Set up meetings with appropriate personnel and communicate with all affected parties. 4.Assist health office staff with various responsibilities including allowing entrance to and greeting visitors, answering a multi-line phone, and general office duties. 5.Provide professional customer service to all staff, students and visitors. 6.Maintain strict confidentially at all times. 7.Assist with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips. 8.Assist in duties relating to the supervision of playground, lavatories, cafeteria, and bus loading activities. 9.Assist with lunch, snack, and clean-up routines. 10.Participate in in-service training programs 11.Any other duties as assigned by the building principal or the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Possession of Associates degree or higher; or 48 credit hours from higher education institution; or passage of the ParaPro or Work Keys assessment. 2.Demonstrated interest in children and education. 3.Evidence of the emotional maturity and stability necessary for the specialized work involved. 4.Ability to communicate and work successfully with staff and students.</p>
