<p>Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Helper is responsible for performing general cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a Best in Class Casino, and adjoining structures and facilities. The Maintenance Helper also assists with preventative maintenance and inspections of Hotel rooms to ensure every aspect of a room is maintained to meet high standards and guidelines. The Maintenance Helper provides assistance to all trades within the Facilities & EVS teams.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li> <p>Receives work orders/requests from Facilities & EVS management and performs necessary tasks. Provides assistance to all Facilities trades with projects. Assists with promoting brand loyalty by engaging in exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs wall repairs such as: patching, touch-up and finish painting, wallpaper repair/replacement, and minor carpentry work. Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs. Performs building maintenance such as: minor roof repair, ceiling tile replacement, walls, woodwork, windows, doors and sills. Operates hand tools and power tools for making minor maintenance repairs.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts daily inspections of hotel rooms and restrooms. Performs any and all preventative maintenance and repairs required to maintain Best in Class hotel rooms and amenities.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains and uses all chemicals properly (SDS). Maintains stock and notifies management when in need of ordering. Uses proper housekeeping technique when cleaning work areas. Follows all safety rules and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares rooms for use by Casino: setup and tear-down of chairs, tables, and equipment in meeting, training, and function rooms.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.</p> </li></ol> <p>Education/Experience/Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED required.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum one (1) year basic maintenance experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of power and hand-held tools required.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess personal set of tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be capable of operating forklift, powerlift and other various equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to follow safety guidelines when using required equipment, tools, and techniques while performing job duties.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and follow various signage as well as oral and written instructions.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and understand blue prints and schematics.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of emergency shut-off procedures for gas, water, electrical, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant, and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.</p> </li></ul> <p>Certificates/Licenses/Registrations</p> <ul> <li> <p>At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.</p> </li><li> <p>A qualified candidate/employee must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the enterprise's insurance carrier.</p> </li><li> <p>Must obtain and maintain valid Forklift Operators Certification card (certification provided by department).</p> </li></ul> <p>San Manuel will make reasonable accommodations in compliance with applicable law.</p> <p>As one of the largest private employers in the Inland Empire, San Manuel deeply cares about the future, growth and well-being of its employees.
