<p>Under the supervision of the Director, the Job Resource Specialist (part-time), provides career development support, job search assistance, resume and cover letter guidance, interview preparation, and career readiness programming to students and alumni. The part-time Specialist assists with coordinating components of the Student Employment Program; delivers presentations, workshops, and career-related recruiting events; assists with employer engagement; and collaborates with staff, faculty, and campus partners to strengthen career pathways and student success.</p> <p>Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned</p> <ul> <li>Provide individual and group support to students and alumni on job search strategies, resume and cover letter development, interview preparation, career assessment, networking and branding strategies, portfolios, professional communication and job search related aspects. </li><li>Deliver presentations and workshops both in-person and virtually on career readiness topics for classes, programs, and student groups. </li><li>Assist students and alumni in navigating job postings, employer opportunities, interpreting qualifications, and preparing tailored application materials. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of career pathways, labor market trends, and employer expectations. </li><li>Support daily operations of Student Employment Program within assigned functional areas including: assisting with coordinating onboarding and related communications; maintaining accurate records/documentation to monitor program activity and compliance; and serving as a knowledgeable resource for questions regarding student employment program expectations, forms, and processes. </li><li>Assist employers seeking to engage with job seekers by providing support for employer visits and coordinating events (i.e. on-campus recruitment, information sessions, and career-related recruiting events). </li><li>Promote employer opportunities to students, alumni, faculty, and campus partners while supporting relationship-building activities that strengthen employer partnerships and career pipeline development </li><li>Assist with marketing and promotion of JRC services, programs and activities and maintain/update career-related resources. </li><li>Track and assess appointments, presentations, employer interactions, and events; prepare evaluations, surveys, and summary reports; and use data-driven insights to recommend improvements that advance student success and employer engagement </li><li>Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student organizations to enhance career programming, support referrals and employer outreach, integrate career readiness into academic pathways, and serve as a liaison to Career Program faculty, including participation in Advisory Board meetings and committees. </li><li>May assist with supervision/mentorship of student employees or interns and other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
