<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Athletics/Activities/Coaching</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>1/14/2026</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Position Title: Assistant Baseball Coach</p> <p>Department: Athletic Department</p> <p>Reports to: Principal, Athletic Director, Head Coach</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Meets all qualifications established by the South Carolina High School League. </li><li>Valid South Carolina Teacher Certificate preferred. </li><li>Possesses and maintains high moral character. </li><li>Ability to work well with children. </li><li>Possesses knowledge of the sport assigned, including, but not limited to, knowledge of training and conditioning </li><li>Possesses the ability to communicate with parents and students. </li></ul> <p>SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ol> <li> <p>Teaches discipline.</p> </li><li> <p>Assigns duties and responsibilities to assistant coaches (if applicable).</p> </li><li> <p>Manages and supervises the assigned athletic program (if applicable).</p> </li><li> <p>Assists the athletic director in purchasing equipment (if applicable).</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates the issuance, care and inventory of equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervises students at all times from the time practice or activity begins until all students leave campus.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists the athletic director in scheduling (if applicable).</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors the physical condition of student athletes constantly during physical activity; enforces safety rules and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Encourages academic excellence of student athletes.</p> </li><li> <p>Assesses the accomplishments of student athletes on regular basis and provides progress reports as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains positive relationships with parents; schedules and conducts conference with parents and student athletes as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs related duties as required.</p> </li></ol>
