<p>The Coherent AD Integrated Optical Systems business unit is a precision optics and optical assemblies design and manufacturing group, which specializes in high-precision aspheres for a variety of specialized applications including semiconductor and flat-panel display manufacturing, ground and space-based telescopes, defense systems and other exotic scientific and government-sponsored programs. The business encompasses the Tinsley Custom Optics product line, and is located in Richmond, CA.</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspection Technician to join our team!</p> <p>Primary Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for visual inspection and various measuring devices and machines such as spectrophotometer, inspects received, in-process and/or finished parts to ensure conformance to drawings/specifications. This includes overall measurements, chips/scratches, assessing visual field, coating, mechanical measurements, etc., </li><li>Performs inspection and cleaning of optical components prior to coating. </li><li>Unpackaging and packaging of delicate uncoated and coated optical components. </li><li>Performs setup, calibration of optical spectrophotometers and other optical instruments to test optically coated witness samples. </li><li>May assist coating technicians with tasks. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 6 years' experience with precision optics </li><li>An associate degree is a plus </li><li>Prior experience and knowledge with testing and measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, depth/height gauges, spectrophotometer, humidity, temperature, mil spec testing for optical coatings. </li><li>Experience and knowledge with working with MIL, ANSI and other specifications.
