<p>CDL ENHANCEMENT: ADDITIONAL $10,000.00</p> <p>This position provides skilled work of more than average difficulty in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment employed in the operation of the water and wastewater treatment plants on an assigned shift. Maintains and repairs equipment used in the wastewater treatment process.</p> <ul> <li>Operates and maintains lift stations; troubleshoots control panels; replaces and repairs electronic circuit components and parts.  </li><li>Maintains records and data on the maintenance and repair of lift stations.  </li><li>Maintains station appearance; maintains station grounds.  </li><li>Operates and maintains assigned vehicles such as boom trucks, equipment, and tools.  </li><li>Maintains diesel generators. • Responds to after-hour emergencies.  </li><li>Transports and connects portable generators during power outages.  </li><li>Performs skilled repair of submersible sewer pumps and associated equipment.  </li><li>Performs torch cutting and welding tasks; performs basic electrical tasks, reads blueprints and diagrams.  </li><li>Operates and cares for power tools in maintaining, fabricating, and repairing parts of equipment; operates large mobile equipment such as a boom truck, a forklift, a hoist, or a crane, when assigned.  </li><li>May act as a lead, directing the work of crew members, including training, guidance, and counseling, to ensure their safety and welfare in the performance of their duties. • Reviews equipment manuals and maintenance records to develop work plans.  </li><li>May perform welding, acetylene burning, brazing, soldering, minor carpentry, and painting.  </li><li>Completes and submits reports of work activities.  </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>High School Diploma or GED equivalent with one (1) year of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of heavy-duty pumping and auxiliary power equipment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.</p> <p>Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver's license with an acceptable driving history.</p> <p>Work location: 230 Agonic Rd Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM</p> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <p>Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post-offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment</p>
