<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Title:</p> <p>Main Office/Pupil Services Secretary - 10 months FT</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>McAlister Intermediate School</p> <p>Period of Employment:</p> <p>10 months position - 37.5 hours per week</p> <p>Reports to:</p> <p>School Principal/Director of Special Services</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>In accordance with Teamsters Contract</p> <p>2025/2026 Hourly rate range - $26.29- $32.85</p> <p>Description of Functions and Responsibilities:</p> <p>To assist the administrative team by performing a variety of complex and confidential secretarial and administrative support functions in order to direct and coordinate the workflow and activities processed through the school's main office. The position requires in-depth knowledge of school operations and administrative procedures; as well as, a high level of secretarial and interpersonal skills and the ability to function in a highly independent manner.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Acts as the secretary to the school administrative team, performing a wide variety of clerical duties, including coordination of calendars and assisting with all levels of correspondence, as well as relieving the school principal of routine administrative functions not requiring immediate attention. </li><li>The ability to provide a wide variety of confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Special Services Department. </li><li>Complete and schedule all PPT meetings, maintain appropriate student files and verification of completeness to meet compliances. </li><li>Acts as a resource person to all members of the school community - staff, students, parents, and the general public - regarding general and specific information on the policies, procedures, and activities of the school. </li><li>Collects all necessary information in order to maintain confidential school records; as well as reviews and verifies reports and other necessary materials for accuracy and completeness. </li><li>The ability to provide a wide variety of confidential administrative support and general operations of the secondary school main office. </li><li>Possess strong technology skills including the ability to manage student activity accounts, maintain accurate attendance records, student cumulative files and discipline records. </li><li>Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. </li><li>Enter and extract student information using the District Student Information Systems </li><li>Knowledge of purchase ordering for school and teacher supplies </li><li>Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by school and district administration. </li></ul> <p>Date of closure:</p> <p>Application Process:</p> <p>External Applicants must apply online and include a cover letter, resume and complete list of (3) professional references.</p>
