Whether you aspire to be a leader or a technical expert, this position will set you up for success in the future.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <p>The Manufacturing Engineer II position we are looking to fill has a strong emphasis on Fabrication within our manufacturing environment. This includes exposure to new technologies and automated equipment which create opportunities for developing new technical skills. This position would be working in a hands-on manufacturing environment where safety & quality are of upmost importance. Individuals in this role can expect to work amongst various disciplines of Engineers, Maintenance, and Operations in our manufacturing atmosphere. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Possess the desire and the skills to learn about a variety of fabrication equipment and processes </li><li>Possess good troubleshooting skills to support maintenance and fabrication engineering tech teams </li><li>Establish safety and quality as top priorities throughout manufacturing practices, procedures, and equipment </li><li>Ability to prioritize and complete tasks and support production needs with limited support </li><li>Research, develop, and implement new manufacturing technologies and processes </li><li>Provide engineering support for a variety of fabrication processes, including stamping, turret punching, laser cutting, bending, welding, surface finishing, and grinding </li><li>Work with outside contractors to coordinate equipment repair, upgrade, or installation </li><li>Initiate, develop, and implement cost reduction projects to assist the manufacturing plant in achieving operational KPI goals </li><li>Utilize lean/six sigma principles during project implementation </li><li>Lead and/or participate in manufacturing capacity increase initiatives to support sales growth </li><li>Prepare appropriation requests for capital investments </li><li>Ensure that the projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget </li><li>Ability to communicate detailed technical information to an audience with various levels of technical understanding. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related </li><li>5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant </li><li>Good leadership and communication skills </li><li>Self-starter with the ability to establish, prioritize, and organize responsibilities </li><li>Ability to work on multiple large projects with strict timeline </li><li>Ability to think outside the box to generate new improvement ideas </li><li>Courteous, professional, and positive </li></ul> <p>We value our employees by providing:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation based on skills </li><li>Industry leading health, dental, and vision plans </li><li>Generous 401 (K) savings and profit sharing </li><li>On-site UW Health clinic, fitness center, and walking paths </li><li>Education assistance and internal training programs </li><li>Electric vehicle charging </li><li>Maternity & paternity leave </li><li>Interested in learning more on our robust benefits package we offer?
