This role serves as the connective tissue between merchandising strategy, marketing, vendor partners, and retail operations, ensuring that promotional intent is translated into clear, compliant, and compelling in-store and digital execution.</p> <p>This position plays a critical role in driving revenue, supporting category performance, and protecting brand integrity by validating execution, identifying gaps, and delivering actionable insights back to the merchandising organization. The ideal candidate combines operational rigor, retail acumen, and strong communication skills with a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to execution in a fast-paced, multi-banner cannabis environment.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Promotional Planning & Execution (40%)</p> <ul> <li>Execute in-store and digital promotional campaigns in alignment with the approved promotional calendar, category strategy, and brand standards. </li><li>Support new product launches by ensuring accurate shelf placement, promotional signage, messaging, and execution at the store level. </li><li>Own the execution of vendor-funded promotions, ensuring contractual compliance, correct placement, and accurate promotional messaging. </li><li>Translate merchandising and marketing plans into clear, actionable execution requirements for retail teams. </li><li>Partner closely with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to coordinate seasonal promotions, campaigns, and rollouts across banners. </li></ul> <p>Brand & Merchandising Standards (25%)</p> <ul> <li>Ensure consistent brand presentation across all locations, including signage, displays, fixtures, and promotional materials. </li><li>Maintain and execute SparkPlug and other retail activation initiatives, validating consistency and effectiveness in the field. </li><li>Support store resets, merchandising updates, and brand initiatives to reinforce a cohesive, customer-centric retail experience. </li><li>Monitor execution quality to ensure stores meet cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards aligned to brand expectations. </li></ul> <p>Execution Monitoring & Performance Insights (20%)</p> <ul> <li>Develop, maintain, and report on promotional and brand execution scorecards to track compliance, quality, and effectiveness. </li><li>Conduct regular field visits to assess execution accuracy, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions or optimizations. </li><li>Capture structured feedback from Store Directors, Regional Managers, and vendors to inform future promotional planning. </li><li>Analyze execution performance to identify opportunities to improve ROI, operational efficiency, and customer engagement. </li></ul> <p>Process Optimization & Cross-Functional Collaboration (15%)</p> <ul> <li>Manage execution checklists, timelines, and rolling promotional calendars to ensure campaigns launch and exit on schedule. </li><li>Partner with merchandising and vendors to develop and maintain brand catalogs, promotional toolkits, and execution guides. </li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline campaign execution, reporting, and store-level communication. </li><li>Balance brand consistency across banners while enabling localized execution aligned to market dynamics. </li></ul> <p>Please note that the percentage allocations are a general estimate and may vary based on business needs and priorities.</p>
