<p>MINIMUM AGE: 16 years of age RATE OF PAY: $18.00 per hour</p> <p>PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT: Camp Dearborn in Milford, Michigan</p> <p>HOURS/ PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: Seasonal position - during the months between Memorial Day- Labor Day. Camp Dearborn is a seven-day operation. The schedule for this position will vary and will include mandatory weekends and holidays. Extended time off during this period is extremely limited. Most positions average 40 hours per week.</p> <p>Employees under 18 years of age will be limited to shifts that align and follow state and federal regulations for minors.</p> <p>NOTE: As a Camp Dearborn employee you will receive a free season pass to Camp Dearborn; <em>50% discount on TV2 lease; discounts on select apparel; discounts on golf and golf equipment. </em>Must meet minimum working requirements.</p> <p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>This is public safety work safeguarding swimmers at the municipal swimming pool at Camp Dearborn. The employee is responsible for supervising all aspects of the facility, enforcing pool regulations, administering first aid and CPR as necessary, and filling out incident/accident and other types of reports. This employee will also perform general cleaning duties of immediate park and pool areas including the bathhouse/ comfort station as assigned.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Supervises all safety aspects of the facility, including but not limited to: employees, facility grounds, patrons, equipment/ chemicals as assigned. </li><li>Performs lifeguarding duties as assigned including performing water rescue techniques and administering first aid and CPR. </li><li>Attends all training sessions/ in-service training. </li><li>Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of immediate pool, pool area, park, office, and bathhouse/ comfort station. </li><li>Works in cooperation with other lifeguards and pool/ park management. </li><li>Assists Camp staff as needed outside typical assignment. </li><li>Demonstrates professionalism including wearing required uniform and regular, predictable attendance. </li></ul>
